This is such an excellent site to read deeply intelligent insights and comments on all the things I care most about. The political and environmental ravine which is fed daily by those who choose to follow ignorant thoughts and draw divisive lines in the mind and between We the People - through legislative force and antisocial deals. Gelatinous gray form describes far more than what oozes! I am all for discourse and equitable resolution - just not for bullying, dishonesty or blind allegiance to anything other than freedom and peace.
At 70, I look back now on my life, proud that I have always sided with social consciousness and ethics - antinuclear, antiwar and peace activism, environmental activist since the 1960s, social activist since 1990s. I believe that my contributions largely behind me.
Yet, our beautiful earth is what is paying the earliest and nearly inevitable price now of destruction and unsustainability. We are next. The fight has just begun. I rely on our better angels to pull us all out of this nosedive on too many fronts - our world, our social integrity, our very foundations of Government.
I see THIS now as THE critical time in my life and I pledge my participation personally to finding solutions so we may continue. The articles here are smart, stark and hard to read. But they are examples of what is really happening. I sincerely hope these writings inspire each of us to stand up and make a contribution to agree that we would all like to survive this mess we currently find ourselves in. It will take us all TOGETHER with correct vision to pull the nose up.
