The IRA displays once again that we have two realities. The political reality of the 50-50 margin in the Senate and slim margin in the House. The physical reality that climatologists keep saying with ever more urgency is bearing down on us. We desperately need to fix that political reality so we can at least ameliorate the physical reality.
On another note, if the Pope really wants to apologize, he should revoke the 1493 Papal Bull laying out the Doctrine of Discovery on which a legal system with great harms to American Indians has been based since the 1823 M'intosh ruling.
